Why GorillaFare

Honest, uncluttered travel search.

GorillaFare was founded because we were tired of the hidden fees, dark patterns, and the "$199 → $312 at checkout" surprise that defines today's online travel industry. We believe travellers deserve the truth before they click — not after.

Booking fees we ever charge you

We don't sell tickets. We show you the truth.

GorillaFare is a metasearch engine. We compare prices across 30+ travel sites and airlines so you can see the cheapest option at a glance. We never hold your card, charge booking fees, or hide baggage surcharges behind a final-screen surprise. When you find the deal you want, you book directly with the airline or partner — their checkout, their cancellation policy, their customer support.

We earn an affiliate commission when you click through to book. That money funds the engineers and writers who keep the search honest — it has zero influence on which deal appears first. Cheapest wins. Always.

How GorillaFare works

One search, six sources fanned out in parallel, one honest comparison.

  1. 1

    You search once

Enter your route, dates, and travellers. We hit 30+ partner APIs in parallel — flights, hotels, cars — and stream results back as they arrive.

  2. 2

    We compare honestly

Prices are deduplicated by carrier + flight number so the same fare never shows twice. Direct-airline rates sit next to OTAs side-by-side — no hidden ranking.

  3. 3

    Price Shield verifies

Before you click View Deal, we re-check the other five providers in under 2.5 seconds. If a cheaper version of your exact fare exists, we offer to switch you.

  4. 4

    You book direct

We never take your card. You finish checkout on the airline or partner site, where the cancellation policy, baggage rules, and refund process are theirs — not ours.

Flights

6 live providers, deduplicated, with Hopper-style price predictions.

Hotels

Booking, Priceline, and SerpApi side-by-side — 1.6M properties.

Cars

Booking + Priceline + Expedia merged into one ranked list.

What makes us different

Three operating principles we refuse to compromise — even when it would be more profitable to.

No booking fees, ever

We are not an OTA. We don’t process payments, don’t hold your reservation, and don’t add a service charge on top of the airline price.

Transparent ranking

Our default sort is cheapest-first, period. Any sponsored placement is clearly labelled "Sponsored" and never displaces an organically cheaper option.

You leave better-informed

Hopper-style price predictions, "Why these prices?" tooltips, and cheapest-dates calendars give you the same intelligence a corporate travel buyer would use.

Where our data comes from

Every price you see on GorillaFare comes from a verified API connection to one of these partners. We never scrape, never guess, never make up fares. If a source goes down, we tell you on the search results page in real time.

Our affiliate disclosure (read this)

GorillaFare participates in affiliate programs with Booking.com, TravelPayouts, Expedia, Skyscanner, Kayak, Viator, and others. When you click View Deal and complete a booking on one of those sites, we may earn a commission. This never affects the price you pay. Commissions come out of the partner's marketing budget — not yours.

Importantly: commission rates differ between partners, but we still rank by cheapest first by default. If a cheaper option exists on a partner that pays us less, that cheaper option still shows up first. We'd rather earn your trust than your click.

Questions, answered

Do you charge a booking fee?
No. GorillaFare is a metasearch site — we never take your card or charge a service fee. The price you see is the price the partner site charges (taxes and fees included).
Then how do you make money?
When you click View Deal and complete a booking on a partner site, that partner pays us a small commission. The commission comes out of their marketing budget — it does not raise the price you pay.
Why does the same flight sometimes show different prices?
Airlines distribute the same fare to many travel sites, and each site adds slightly different fees, currency conversions, or fare classes. Price Shield re-checks five providers before you leave us so you almost never click the wrong one.
Where do my searches go after I close the tab?
Nowhere we keep. We don’t require an account, we don’t sell your search history, and we don’t share it with airlines or hotel chains. Saved searches you opt into for price-drop alerts are stored only so we can email you when fares fall.
Will my booking be protected?
Your booking is governed by the airline or partner you book with — their cancellation policy, change fees, and refund process apply. We surface those terms before you click so there are no surprises after checkout.
I think a price changed between search and click. What happened?
Airline fares change in real time. Price Shield catches most of those changes by re-polling at click time, but if you arrive on a partner site and the price differs by more than a couple of dollars, return to GorillaFare and re-run the search — your alternatives will refresh.
