Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: May 6, 2026 · Entity: Ledgerwood Mercantile

This policy describes the rules that govern your use of GorillaFare, the metasearch travel comparison service operated by Ledgerwood Mercantile (“we”, “us” or “GorillaFare”).

1. Overview

GorillaFare is a comparison and metasearch service. We aggregate fares and rates from airlines, hotels, car rental operators, and online travel agencies and link you out to those partners to complete your booking. Our goal is honest, transparent pricing and fast results — and we expect every visitor to use the service in good faith and in accordance with this policy. By accessing or using GorillaFare, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Fair Use

You may use GorillaFare for personal, non-commercial travel research and to click through to our partners to make bookings. “Fair use” means usage that is consistent with the way an ordinary traveller would use a comparison site. Activities that go beyond fair use — including high-volume automated querying, screen-scraping, and the resale or redistribution of our results — require a separate written agreement with Ledgerwood Mercantile.

We reserve the right to apply technical rate limits, CAPTCHAs, and quota controls that protect the service for everyone. We may temporarily or permanently restrict access from any IP address, account, or device that we reasonably believe is violating fair use.

3. Customer Accountability

You are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of any information you submit through search forms, contact forms, or affiliate landing pages.
  • All activity that occurs through your device, browser session, or any account you create on GorillaFare, including keeping your credentials confidential.
  • Reviewing the terms, fare rules, and refund policies of any airline, hotel, or operator before completing a booking on their site. GorillaFare is a metasearch and does not sell tickets, hold your card, or charge booking fees — your booking is a contract between you and the partner.
  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations of your country of residence and the destinations you research, including export controls and sanctions.

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree that you will not, and will not attempt to:

  • Use any automated system — including bots, spiders, scripts, scrapers, or headless browsers — to access, query, monitor, or copy any portion of the service without our prior written consent.
  • Place an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure, or interfere with the proper working of the service, including via denial-of-service attacks, traffic floods, or attempts to circumvent rate limits.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, models, or proprietary logic of any part of the service.
  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit search results, ranking data, fare data, hotel inventory, reliability scores, or any derivative work without a written commercial agreement.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, impersonate any person, or use the service to commit fraud, including affiliate-commission fraud, click-fraud, or cookie-stuffing.
  • Upload, transmit, or link to content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, harassing, or that contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service or breach any security or authentication measures, except under a written, scoped security-research agreement with Ledgerwood Mercantile.
  • Use the service in any way that violates the rights of any airline, hotel, operator, or third party, including their terms of service, trademarks, or content-licensing arrangements.

5. Enforcement & remedies

We may investigate suspected violations of this policy and take any action we deem appropriate, including (without limitation) issuing warnings, throttling or blocking access, removing content, terminating accounts, preserving evidence, cooperating with law-enforcement, and seeking damages or injunctive relief. We may take action with or without notice, depending on the severity of the violation.

Failure to enforce any provision of this policy will not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

6. Changes to this policy

Ledgerwood Mercantile may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page and, where required by law, provide additional notice on the site. Continued use of GorillaFare after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
