Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 6, 2026

How GorillaFare collects, uses, and safeguards your information across our metasearch platform. We don't sell tickets or hold your payment card — your booking happens directly on the airline or partner site.

Your privacy is important to us. It is GorillaFare's policy to respect your privacy and comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding any personal information we may collect about you, including across our website, GorillaFare.com, and any related applications or services we own and operate (collectively, the “Service”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, information we receive automatically when you use the Service, and information from trusted third-party partners that help us run our metasearch.

Information you provide

  • Search inputs: origin and destination, travel dates, number of travellers, cabin class, hotel city, and similar parameters you enter in our search forms.
  • Contact & support requests: name, email address, and the contents of any message you send to Support@gorillafare.com or via any feedback form.
  • Preferences: currency, language, sort/filter preferences, and any saved searches or favourites you create.

Important: GorillaFare is a metasearch engine. We do not sell tickets, collect payment card details, or process bookings. When you click “View Deal” on a result, you are redirected to the airline, hotel, car operator, or online travel agency to complete your booking on their platform under their privacy policy and terms.

Information collected automatically

  • Log Data (see the dedicated section below).
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy for full detail and your choices.
  • Approximate location: derived from your IP address to default your currency and to surface nearby airports.

Information from third parties

  • Travel data providers such as Sabre, SerpApi (Google Flights / Hotels), and RapidAPI — used to populate fares, rates, and reviews.
  • Affiliate networks may share back referral identifiers when you click through and book, so that the partner can attribute the referral and pay any applicable commission.

Log Data

Like most online services, our servers automatically log basic technical information when you interact with the Service. This is essential for security, debugging, performance monitoring, and abuse prevention.

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address
  • Browser type and version, operating system, device type
  • Referring and exit pages
  • Date and timestamp of each request
  • Pages and resources requested, and the response status
  • Search latency and upstream provider response timings (no personal content)

Log Data is retained for a limited period necessary for the purposes above and is then either deleted or aggregated into anonymous statistics.

How We Use Your Information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the metasearch experience
  • To return relevant fares, rates, and reliability insights for your search
  • To remember your preferences, recent searches, and in-progress Bundles
  • To attribute affiliate-network referrals when you click through to a partner (only with your consent for non-essential cookies)
  • To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • To respond to your support requests and communicate service updates
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Acceptable Use Policy

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and — only with your consent — to measure analytics and affiliate performance. The full breakdown of categories, your choices, and how to change your consent at any time is available in our Cookie Policy.

Service Providers & Third-Party Sites

We rely on a small number of carefully chosen service providers to deliver the Service. These include cloud hosting and CDN providers, analytics and observability tools, and travel-data partners (Sabre, SerpApi, RapidAPI). They process data only on our instructions and under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.

In the event our site contains links to third-party sites and services — for example, partner airlines, hotels, or online travel agencies — please be aware that those sites and services have their own privacy and cookie policies. After following a link to any third-party content, you should read their posted privacy policy. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any of your activities after you leave our Service.

Security

We take the security of your information seriously and use a combination of technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect it. These include encryption in transit (TLS), least-privilege access controls, monitoring, and routine reviews of our systems. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

Personal information is retained only as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes, enforcing our agreements, and complying with legal obligations. When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA / CPRA)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict our use of your personal information; to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information; and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at Support@gorillafare.com and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete the information.

International Data Transfers

GorillaFare operates internationally. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including in the United States. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect transfers of personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our business. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. Material changes will be notified through the consent banner on your next visit or by other reasonable means.
