GorillaFare Trust

What you click is what you pay.

Every "View Deal" on GorillaFare is bound to the exact source that quoted the price you see. No swap to a more expensive partner. No silent downgrade to a fare class without a bag. No asterisks. Just the deal you clicked.

Our promise

Four commitments behind the badge.

The Price Shield Guarantee isn't a marketing line — it's a contract enforced in the code that powers every search. Here's what it actually means.

One source, one price, one link

When the same flight shows up on multiple providers, our dedupe engine binds the displayed price and the click-through link to the SAME source. If RapidAPI quotes $495 but only Booking can complete the booking at $608, we show Booking’s $608 — never the $495 we can’t honor.

Fare-tier transparency, not asterisks

We surface the actual fare you’re comparing — Basic Economy, Standard, Plus, Flex — and whether a checked bag is included. No more "$50 cheaper!" recommendations that quietly drop your bag at checkout.

Price-checked across 30+ live sources

Every "View Deal" runs through a 2.5-second cross-source price check against the rest of the market. If we find a cheaper, same-tier, linkable alternative, we tell you before the redirect.

No basket, no card, no booking fees

GorillaFare is a metasearch engine. Your booking happens on the airline or partner site, with their card form and their checkout policies — we never touch your payment details.

Under the hood

How Price Shield works in 4 steps.

  1. 1

    You search a route

We fan out to 30+ live travel sources in parallel — Skyscanner, Booking, Aviasales, Kiwi, Kayak, Priceline and the airlines themselves.

  2. 2

    We dedupe by physical flight

Carrier + flight number + date + origin = the same flight. We collapse duplicate listings into one card so you compare apples to apples.

  3. 3

We bind price ↔ click destination

The displayed price and the "View Deal" link come from the same source. If the cheapest source has no per-flight link, we never show that price as the headline.

  4. 4

Price Shield cross-checks at click time

In the 2 seconds before redirect, we re-poll every other source. If a same-tier alternative is cheaper, you’re offered the swap. If you’re already on the lowest price, we tell you that too.

What we won't do

The dark patterns we refuse.

Industry-wide, metasearch UX leans on tactics regulators have repeatedly flagged. The UK Competition and Markets Authority and the US DOT's full-fare advertising rule both require clear, all-in pricing. Price Shield is our way of going further than the minimum.

  • Show a low fare on the card and redirect to a higher fare.
  • Recommend a "cheaper" swap that quietly drops a checked bag.
  • Hide partner names — you always see who you’re clicking to.
  • Charge booking, baggage, or surprise service fees on top of the partner price.
  • Sell your search data to advertisers outside the funnel.

Travel with the shield up.

Search a route, click any deal, and we'll keep the click honest. That's the whole guarantee.
